Radio Frequency Skin Tightening
RF causes electron movement of atoms and molecules in the adipose tissues which generates friction, creating more structured collagen fibers in Roswell, Georgia.
Is Radio Frequency Skin Tightening right for you?
A good fit
- Loose skin after weight loss or pregnancy, especially abdomen or arms
- Crepey skin on the abdomen, arms, neck, or thighs
- Pre-event tightening (4–6 weeks ahead of a wedding, vacation, or photoshoot)
Not a fit
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Pacemaker, defibrillator, or other implanted electronics in the treatment area
- Very severe skin laxity - surgical options may be more appropriate
A session, end to end.
-
Glide phase
A glycerin-based glide is applied. The RF handpiece moves continuously over the area, raising the deep dermal temperature in a controlled, even pattern.
-
Therapeutic dose
Once the skin reaches the target temperature range, we hold it there for the prescribed dose. This is the part that prompts new collagen production.
-
Cool-down + topical
We finish with a cooling compress and a calming, peptide-rich topical. You'll leave flushed and noticeably tighter.
Radio Frequency Skin Tightening questions, answered.
What's the difference between this and VelaShape?
VelaShape combines RF with vacuum, infrared, and mechanical massage in one applicator - it's particularly good for cellulite and surface texture. Standalone RF goes deeper into the dermis for pure collagen stimulation. Many clients use them in combination.
How long does the result last?
Collagen built from RF lasts for months to over a year, depending on your skin, age, and lifestyle. Most clients maintain with one to two sessions per quarter.
Does it really tighten skin without surgery?
For mild-to-moderate laxity, yes - and the published research supports it. For severe sagging or true skin excess, we'll tell you honestly that surgery is the better answer.
Will I see results right away?
Yes and no. You'll see an immediate tightening effect from the heat, which fades over a few days. The real, collagen-driven result builds over 3–6 months.
Is it safe on the face?
Yes - we use a different protocol for the face and neck than for the body, with lower energy and more careful glide work. We'll walk through what's appropriate during your consult.
How much does RF cost?
Pricing varies by the area and the number of sessions in your package. See our pricing page for current rates, or book a free consult and we'll walk through a personalized plan with a real number attached.
How many sessions will I need?
A series of 4–6 sessions, spaced 1–2 weeks apart, gives the most visible result. Maintenance is typically one to two sessions per quarter.
Are there any side effects?
Temporary flushing in the treatment area for an hour or two. Some clients have mild skin sensitivity for a day. There's no downtime - most clients return straight to their day.
